Purpose:

The Dir - Enterprise Architect will define and drive the strategic technology vision, ensuring alignment between business objectives and the evolving technology landscape of Plexus. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining architectural standards for existing systems and processes, while identifying and implementing future-forward technologies to support growth, efficiency and innovation.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmap that supports long-term business strategy and incorporates emerging technologies.

  • Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistency, security, and scalability across all architecture domains.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms, including cloud-based solutions, to support business needs and drive innovation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical architectures, ensuring alignment and clear communication.

  • Lead architecture reviews and assessments to ensure viability within the technology environment per established standards, best-practice fit with existing technologies and overall strategy.

  • Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Additional Job Accountabilities:

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices, with a focus on cloud-native solutions.

  • Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate new technologies and architectural approaches.

  • Maintain a comprehensive architecture repository, documenting existing systems, data models, and technology components.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams throughout the development

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the related field, or a Master’s degree and 5-7 years of experience in the related field. Previous experience in a management role is required. Preference at this level is to have a Master’s degree or to be in pursuit of one.

  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful architectural strategies.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing, data architecture, application architecture, infrastructure architecture and process architecture.

  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and IoT.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate business strategy into technical solutions.

  • Experience with creating and documenting architecture standards and technology roadmaps.

  • Preferred: Experience with the suite of Google's cloud offerings, including Workspace, BigQuery, and GCP.

  • Preferred: Industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Google Cloud Certified Professional).
