Job Purpose
- To lead the day-to-day finance operation.
- To ensure effective day-to-day finance operations, including AR, AP, and financial management operations of the business segments.
Job Requirements
- Oversee the day-to-day finance operation, including AR, AP and supervise a team of 6 subordinates
- Work closely with the Treasury Team on managing the cash flow and liquidity and prepare cash flow forecast to ensure adequate funding for day-to-day operation
- Oversee the day-to-day tax matters such as SST and WHT submission of the Group
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by superior(s) in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Carry out all tasks in an agreed level of quality of delivery and in a timely manner.
- Continuously benchmark and bring on board best financial & accounting practices and the implementation of financial improvement initiatives so as to achieve continuous improvements and process efficiency, not limited to the finance function, by identifying issues and recommending solutions.
- Participate in cost-saving and financial systems initiatives by implementing projects that are assigned by superiors so as to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance management team and increase consciousness of the interrelationship between departments
Accounts Receivable
- Oversee the AR team on the process of credit management from the timely issuance of sale invoices until the collection from clients
- Prompt the business units for any long outstanding invoices
Accounts Payable
- Oversee the AP team.
- Discuss with business units on understand the priority of payments for cash flow planning purposes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting and preferably with professional qualification(s).
- Experience at a senior level within a financial operation role, ideally directly supporting a Chief Finance Officer or Group Financial Controller.
- Minimum 8 years in similar function with 2 years of managerial experience.
- Proven experience in implementing continuous improvement processes for financial reporting function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Able to manage time and multitasking.
- Able to manage team of subordinates
- Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Computer software skills especially excel and preferable with accounting software system experience.
