We are currently seeking a Assistant Manager, Hub to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!
The Assistant Manager, Hub will be responsible as on-site leader to oversee and manage overall Hub's operation process at nightshift to ensure compliance and achieve to operation objective, staff developments and safety requirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hub Management
- Onsite lead and oversee of daily operation to ensure a smooth and effective process from inbound, sorting to outbound
- Manage workers to ensure a proper allocation of worker to all Hub's unit and make necessary changes during operation to ensure each hub operation run at optimized level, consistent productivity and immediate activate of recovery plan to avoid backlogs
- Ensure inbound and outbound operate at optimized level by established, maintain, or improve operation process to minimize congestion, overload and avoid late arrival
- Ensure sufficient trucks and on time departure to minimize overload and avoid late arrival Quality and meet KPI
- Identify safety need and ensure Hub operate in compliance to Health and Safety regulation by perform safety inspection
- Act as communication point with other department during operation hour to ensure all request and complained settle timely, meet customer expectation and inclusive supporting in investigation process if needed.
- Onsite Liaison with vendor's technician for issues related with machines and equipment by ensure repair done on time and avoid downtime of machine
- Reports any issues arise during operation to Hub Manager
Project & Cost Management
- Assist Hub Manager in managing and reducing operation cost
- Assist Hub Manager in managing overall operation of Hub and Project
People Management
- Coaching, training, and conducting a periodic briefing/meeting with Hub's team inclusive assessment of staff performances
- Communicate, lead and motivate team member to achieve operation goals
Desired Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, operations, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or people management role.
- Preferably someone with at least 1 year in similar role experience
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline
