ROLE PURPOSE:

Support the Financial Analyst and Tax Specialist on critical areas of budgeting, management information reporting and tax compliance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Budgeting

  • Supporting consolidation budget information for Business Plan (BP) and Work Programme Budget (WPB).
  • Support, analyse and challenge budget owners on budget assumptions, reasonableness and current budget vs prior years actual.

Management information reporting

  • Support management information reporting and variance analysis to support management decisions.
  • Analyse variances using Power BI tool and support creation of new reports to increase accuracy and insights on management information reporting.

Tax Compliance

  • Support e-Invoice compliance such as issue e-Invoice, reviewing e-invoices from suppliers, e-Invoice reporting and etc.
  • Support indirect taxes compliance such as withholding tax, service tax on imported taxable services etc.
  • Support income taxes compliance such as tax payment on timely basis, state sales tax filing etc.

Finance Processes & Procedures

  • Supporting in improvement of finance processes and updating of finance procedures.
  • Health, Safety, Security & Environment
  • Ensure that all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to ensure safety and security of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Experience:

  • 0 to 2 years of accounting work experience. Highly motivated individual who is passionate in pursuing a finance/accounting profession in Malaysia’s upstream oil and gas industry.

Skills:

  • Good Excel skills and good interpersonal skills
