
Key Account Manager - FMCG/ Healthcare
Job Description
The vital role of a Key Account Manager is to develop and foster loyal, long lasting relationships with each of our key customers. Hence, a candidate having prior experience in Account Management or Territory Sales will be an advantage. The ideal candidate must have strong account planning and relationship mapping skills. Additionally, experience in managing major national accounts at the head office level should be an asset for a person handling such a critical position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the LKA/IKA accounts in his/her portfolio including promotional strategies to achieve his/her sales target, executing channel/brand plans and maximize return on promotional investments in line with the company objectives and strategies.
- Supervise the development of promotional tactical plans to meet sales, and merchandising objectives and to ensure effective implementation.
- Formulate account specific promotional strategies for each customer in assigned portfolio towards achieving the sales target in alignment with sales/brand plans.
- Other key tasks will include the execution, monitoring, and evaluation of promotional plans. He/she should initiate business review with the customers on a quarterly basis with key retailers.
- Work closely with Marketing department to ensure that the set target of products distribution, shelf presentation and merchandising are being met and constantly maintained.
- Ensure optimum ROI within allocated promotional funds.
- Plan, lead and maximize the distribution objectives for existing and new products pipeline.
- Monitor and control all budgeted expenditure to ensure effective spend to optimize the investment return from the allocated funds.
- Participate in the drafting and lead the negotiation in the annual Trading Terms with the relevant key retailers.
- Provide sales forecast input to the procurement department for shipment/production planning.
- Develop and implement innovative tactical plans jointly with sales planning and marketing department to ensure the on-going category development; and to anticipate future business opportunities.
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of Sales related experience in a healthcare or FMCG company.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration/Marketing.
- Good communication skills in written, verbal and presentation.
- Strong negotiation and good selling skills with the ability to close sales.
- Ability to work independently with a results-oriented approach.
- Excellent use of computer resources and analytical tools including MS Office.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, proven track record in a similar position.
- Excellent command of the English language, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
