Job Responsibilities
a) Strategic
- Overseeing various data-related functions, including data strategy, management, governance, security, quality, investment, and partnerships.
- Responsible for data analytics, business intelligence, data science and business analytics.
- Design, build and drive overall strategy, methodology, and roadmap for the processes, systems, tools, and capabilities required to execute and maintain core data assets.
- Build and develop advanced analytical and data visualisation skills and explore new and powerful analytical tools that help with day tasks.
- Develop and implement data analytics reporting system, dashboards, performance metrics and other strategies to optimise statistical efficiency quality to support key business decisions.
- Develop and implement plans for business intelligence activities to identify trends that can help departments, managers, and executives make business decisions, i.e., modernise and improve the data-related processes and business in the Corporation.
- Organise and drive quality data insight initiatives through data exploration management and effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Lead and work with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data engineers/scientists and business stakeholders to define, develop and execute data strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead data stewardship for business information management to ensure high quality data.
- Lead the development of data science capabilities and utilisation and coordinate cross-functional analytic initiatives to improve business data modeling and fixing business-related problems.
b) Functional
- Be a champion for a data-driven culture, lead a team of cross-functional analysts, support and train staff in data systems and reporting.
- Implement and own data governance approach which includes advising on and monitoring enterprise data.
- Create strategic data access policy.
- Leading the design of analytics infrastructure supporting analytics and reporting.
- Where required, oversee, supervise, and evaluate internal and external application/tool development integration and consultants.
- Synthesizing and execute data related initiatives into clear roadmaps and execution plans.
- Constantly keep up with industry data trends and drive high performing teams.
- Provide oversight to the corporation and execution of secretariat functions of Data Governance Working Committee meetings and review the output. i.e. material and minutes of meeting.
- Oversee the implementation of related project/initiatives to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives and the corporation’s goal.
- Responsible for the employee's development and talent management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure project success.
- Provide regular project status and updates including communications to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in either Economics, Business Administration, Management or equivalent professional qualification. Master’s degree will be a plus.
- Significant experience with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in managing an enterprise-wide data / technology-driven organisation.
- Dynamic leadership and management experience of multi-disciplined teams.
- Data Management, Data Governance and Business Analytics, Financial Analysis, Strategic Research, Performance Management, Project Management.
- Strategic mindset with experience implementing data strategy and frameworks while driving continuous improvement.
