Job Purpose

Accountable for the efficient operation of Travel Claims by providing prompt, efficient and effective claims handling services and technical support in accordance with Company’s policies, Bank Negara Malaysia and PIAM’s guidelines to meet the Company’s objectives and customers’ expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. You will be required to investigate, negotiate and settle all assigned claims promptly and equitably within the best provisions of the policy/certificate contract. Further to proactively manage business process to the best outcome for the Company and the Insured. The work involves collecting and analyzing information for each claim until decision is reached.
  2. You will process, assess, recommend, approve and payment of claims within the authority limit approved by the Company.
  3. You will adjust reserve and provide reserve recommendations to ensure reserving activities with Company policies
  4. You will also negotiate the settlement claims within assigned authorized amounts or specific file authority to ensure a fair and prompt payout to the customer.
  5. You will monitor and recommend further actions to management on claims that exceed the authorization limits, to mitigate risk to the company and to fulfill customer service agreements as appropriate

Job Requirements

  1. You will need to possess a bachelor's degree in business studies, insurance or any related disciplines.
  2. You must have at least 1 - 2 years of working experience in Personal Line Claims.
  3. Having prior experience with Travel Claims will also be considered.
  4. This position will be a 6-months contractual position based at Dataran Maybank, Bangsar.
  5. You must have strong communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills while demonstrating a good balance of working a team and independently to enable further success in this role.
