Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Lead day-to-day activities like design development, cost and quality control, project monitoring and liaison with consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Lead client-consultant, site, and technical meetings.
- Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Plan and execute project within given timeframe and costs.
- Monitor the actual progress of the work against planned programme and approved budget.
- Conduct project briefing and coordinate with site projects teams and overall site operation and activities.
- Liaise with other main/sub-contractor on site coordination and technical issues.
- Ensure site parameters are correct accordingly to requirement and specification.
- Check drawing discrepancy and liaise with consultant to solve technical issues.
- Verification and endorsement of sub-contractor’s progress, claims and VO.
- Work independently and attend meetings with client and consultants.
- Monitor and track construction progress to ensure timely delivery of construction contracts.
- Ensure safety compliances at construction sites.
- All other duties as assigned by Project Director from time to time.
Project Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management or any other professional qualification recognized by Professional Engineering Board or construction authority.
- Have at least 8 to 12 years of experience in the construction industry (Building, road construction or Infrastructure Projects) leading management of mid to large sized projects.
- Must be good in project management software (i.e. Microsoft project, primavera).
- Experience in mix-development (e.g.: landed house, condominium, shophouse, retail mall, office & etc) is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communications, interpersonal, presentation skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to direct client, consultant, and contractors.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Have proper planning and organizational skills i.e. report writing and monitoring project plans and schedules and utilizing time and resources effectively.
- Have experience with JKR or government project especially road construction & infrastructure.
- Good knowledge in JKR & local authority’s specifications, standards & requirement.
- Must be aware of health and safety procedures and legislation to ensure a safe construction site environment.
- Must be willing to travel & relocate.
