Executive, Logistic
JOB PURPOSE
Oversee operations for Local & Government Authorities, Shipping, and Forwarding & Transport. Manage permit applications (CIDB/SIRIM COA) for Iron & Steel, and obtain necessary licenses (SIRIM, MITI, Customs, MOF). Manage petty cash, coordinate shipments, and supervise Customs operations. Ensure task completion and QHSE compliance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all inbound and outbound sea freight/ airfreight shipment, port clearance and ensure smooth arrangement to meet delivery date.
- Keep track of budget and utilization and ensure that expenses are within approved budget.
- Keep track performance measurement criteria/ indicators based on industry best practices and benchmarking and ensure continuous improvement.
- Check and review all service provider (forwarders and transporter) invoice and claim.
- Ensure to meet logistic cost database to support Purchasing Team requirement.
- Ensure business partnering with respective business units in Logistic process, projects and other operations with regards to transport of materials, and material management and Logistic solutions.
- Execute SCM improvement initiatives achieve divisional excellence and improve Supply Chain processes, current work style, practices, policies, procedures, etc. That would result in measurable cost and non-cost benefits.
- Manage all local land transport and Customs forwarding arrangement.
- Arrange all Local Government and Local Authorities requirement for import/ export and any other Logistic matter.
- Participate training related with job scope to develop and close by the competency & performance gap for the career development.
- Support and maintain a healthy, safe, motivating and conducive work environment that promotes a culture of excellence and a global championship mind-set with the objective of improving productivity, maintaining standards of service, promoting industrial harmony as well as instilling discipline and integrity.
- Support and maintain HSE initiatives and comply with HSE rules, regulations, procedures, policies, and requirement.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any field preferably in Logistic and Transportation.
- 3-5 years of experience in Logistic, Shipping, Transportation and Customs Forwarding with knowledge in heavy engineering, oil & gas and ship repair business is an advantage.
