Job Overview:
The Draughtsman will be responsible to participate and contribute to the delivery of modification projects towards meeting the company’s objective.
He/ she will be responsible to prepare or modify design drawings related to all company’s projects in compliance with the project objectives and contractual requirements which include project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures. This role requires experienced personnel with a proven track record in participating modification projects utilizing latest software drawing tools (2D and 3D).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Engineer in managing all technical drawings (2D/3D) related to company’s projects.
- Responsible for preparation/modification of 2D design drawings using CAD software application for all disciplines including Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Mechanical and Piping.
- Responsible for preparation/modification of design drawings using 3D modelling software application for 3D models and Information Modelling as per design requirements of all disciplines.
- Ensure conformance to internal stakeholders’ specifications, company standards and other regulation requirements.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders on drawings and documentation related to projects.
- Perform quality control throughout the project design to maintain the standards expected.
- Participate in any HSE and emergency response related activities, such as Safe System of Work implementation, MOC, PSSR, incident action plans, etc.
- Complete other temporary tasks as assigned by superior in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in engineering, architecture or related field from a recognized institution in Malaysia.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project/engineering field related to Refinery, Petrochemical or Oleochemical industries.
- Be proficient in the use of latest design software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and Revit (3D modelling tools).
- Experience in the creation/modification of 2D or 3D modelling drawings.
- Experience in a Digital Twin project implementation is an added advantage.
- Understanding of engineering and design principles, as well as safety standards and building codes.
- Must be able to proactively work and contribute as part of a team.
