Manager/AVP, Regulatory Audit
Job Descriptions
•Lead audit assignments for Regulatory Audit department and responsible for the execution throughout the audit lifecycle including planning, fieldwork, documentation and review, issues and report writing.
•Perform risks assessment on business processes and identify the relevant controls in ensuring compliance with the regulatory guidelines, internal framework/ policies/ SOP.
•Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management processes, system of internal controls, regulatory compliance and governance processes and make appropriate recommendation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•Carry out audit assignment using risk-based audit methodology and ensure compliance with the IIA Standards.
•Analyse audit requirements and develop/ applying data analytics for audit assignments.
•Coordinate and conduct opening meeting and exit meeting with auditees for each audit assignment.
•Review work performed by team members, provide feedback and ensure timely documentation in TeamMate audit software.
•Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to management and ensure appropriate actions are committed by management within reasonable timeline for rectification/ resolution.
•Prepare quality audit report for review by the Head of Department and GCIA.
•Lead and supervise the audit team, ensuring adherence to audit plans and timelines.
•Track and perform validation on completed action plans for audit findings to ensure appropriate actions have been taken to close the gaps within the targeted timeline.
•Appraise the performance of the team members upon completion of an audit assignment or as and when required.
•Participate in key Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews and exercise as an independent observer, when required.
•Participate in key projects such as system implementation projects as an independent observer, when required by the Head of Department or GCIA.
•Support the Head of Department or GCIA in executing ad-hoc assignments, advisory review requests and any non-audit assignments.
Requirements
•A recognised degree or equivalents with at least minimum of 6 years relevant working experience in internal audit.
•Proven experience in auditing, with at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or senior role.
•Detail-oriented and results-driven.
•Good leadership and communication skills.
•Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
