Senior Software Tester
Job Title: Senior Tester (Local Hiring Only)
Job Summary: The Senior Tester will lead and coordinate the testing efforts, ensuring the effective execution of test cases and the timely resolution of defects. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to resolve issues, mentor junior testers, and ensure the overall quality of testing processes and results.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Execution Leadership: Lead and coordinate the testing efforts, ensuring that test cases are executed efficiently and in line with project requirements and deadlines.
Defect Management: Identify, track, and manage defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensuring that all defects are properly documented.
Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, helping them develop their testing skills and ensuring they follow best practices in the execution of tests.
Test Process Improvement: Assist in improving testing processes by identifying areas for enhancement, including optimizing test cases and improving test automation coverage.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, report issues, and ensure that testing aligns with project goals.
Test Reporting: Document and report test results, providing detailed insights into any issues encountered during testing and ensuring transparency in defect status and test execution.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years in a senior testing role. Experience in telecommunications projects is preferred.
Skills:
Strong experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
Excellent defect identification, tracking, and resolution skills.
Ability to mentor and guide junior testers effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Certifications:
ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification or equivalent.
Experience in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
