JOB SUMMARY
Safety, Security and Health Officer is responsible for safety, security, health and environment matters and associated licensing at the Power Plant and shall ensure that QHSE activities are monitored, controlled and reviewed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- QHSE System Management – Establish, implement, and maintain the QHSE Management System, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- HSE Oversight & Audits – Coordinate HSE Committee activities, conduct regular audits, and manage plant inspections to uphold safety and environmental standards.
- Incident Investigation & Reporting – Establish and oversee accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
- Training & Compliance – Organize and conduct HSE training for all personnel and contractors, ensuring adherence to policies and safe work practices.
- Regulatory & External Liaison – Act as the main liaison with external authorities on environmental, health, safety, and statutory matters.
- Safety Monitoring & Continuous Improvement – Supervise daily operations, enforce HSE measures, and drive continuous improvements in workplace safety, security, and environmental performance.
- Budget & Resource Management – Manage and control the safety budget, ensuring adequate resources for HSE implementation and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or suitable technical qualification.
- Must be a registered Green Book Holder with DOSH or possess an equivalent certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Plant industry
- Technical & Regulatory Expertise – Strong knowledge of power plant operations, QHSE management systems, and legal requirements related to safety, security, health, and the environment.
- Leadership & Communication – Proven ability to drive HSE programs with strong leadership, analytical, planning, execution, and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to based at Ladang Tanah Merah, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
