This is a sales leadership role! We are looking for a dynamic leader who can drive and manage sales operations and branch management across East Malaysia, including Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long term business strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring alignment between the company’s goals
- Provide leadership and direction to cross functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Build highly effective, highly motivated team of colleagues and partners, at bankwide branches focusing on strong external business and stakeholders engagement and collaboration.
- Build connectivity with business stakeholders to drive growth and align strategies with organisation objectives and focus
- Regularly review and report on the progress of strategic goals and adjust plans as needed
- Determine jointly with Segments/Products on sales/activities targets & service quality level through Branches.
- Manage/optimize trade-offs between sales & service capacity within branch & ensure alignment to overall channel/branch policies & strategies.
- Manage overall branch cost efficiency (direct and indirect expenses) within budget set.
- Plan & allocate branch resources for service staff & branch serving sales staff (jointly with Segments/Products), and to ensure a consistent execution of people management / career development plan
- Track & monitor branch sales & service performance.
- Ensure strong compliance & operational risks discipline within the branch, in line with Banks’ policies and regulatory requirements
Key Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills in leading and influence teams and experience in indirect leadership for local market teams
- High level of Business Acumen and deep knowledge of each business (PFS, Wholesales Banking) to ensure channels sales optimization & channel cost efficiency.
- Persuasive communicator and the ability to influence and drive results through others without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to speak comfortably in front of large audiences and converse with high-profile clients
- Self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly-expanding customer base
- Minimum 15 years relevant work experience in banking.
