About the role:

The position is responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain process, from Sourcing, Procurement, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Inventory, Kitting and system leadership in all Material Resource Planning functions. This is a significant position on the Senior Management Team. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, logistics teams, production, and distribution networks to ensure that materials are procured efficiently, and that production runs smoothly. This position will assume responsibility for all product lines, including CNC Machining, Plastic Welding, Hi Purity Tube Fabrication, Clean Room Assembly and Complete Module System Integration operations.

We are looking for hands on experience in leadership in most of these areas, and the ability to improve systems to achieve world class performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support analysis and input of Production Requirements based on demand as well as Forecasted Demand.
  • Plan and forecast material requirements based on production schedules and market demand.
  • Analyse supply chain performance and suggest improvements to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify and manage relationships with raw materials suppliers, including plastics and additives.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, and cost issues.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of materials for production without overstocking.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, including just-in-time (JIT) inventory and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure materials are available when needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Manage the flow of materials from suppliers to production lines, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure that production schedules are aligned with supply chain capabilities.
  • Oversee the logistics operations, ensuring timely transportation of goods from suppliers to the manufacturing plant and from the plant to customers.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to optimize delivery schedules and reduce shipping costs.
  • Manage the warehousing, packaging, and shipment of finished products to customers.
  • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, tracking expenditures and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising on quality or service delivery.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, including supply shortages, transportation disruptions, and fluctuations in material costs.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, cost reductions, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on supply chain performance and areas for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and environmental standards in manufacturing is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or applicable technical work experience, master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of direct working experience in related Contract Manufacturing and at least 5 years of Senior Leadership at leading Equipment Contract Manufacturers.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the major Semiconductor OEM and/or Semiconductor Fab markets, customers, and needs.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals.
  • Process-driven with full knowledge of quality tools such as ISO9001 & AS9100.
