The Payroll Senior Executive plays a key role in supporting payroll processing and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring timely payroll execution.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Manage the full cycle of payroll processing, including data entry, collection, validation, processing, reconciliation.
- Ensure payroll processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner by verifying employee work hours, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
- Prepare and review payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Handle statutory payments such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, and other mandatory contributions, ensuring timely submission and compliance with local labor laws.
- Process and review payroll adjustments, including bonuses, salary increments, back-payments, and off-cycle payments.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner.
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and external requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Finance and HR, to provide payroll-related insights and ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Support ongoing process improvements related to payroll administration, including automation, system upgrades, and best practices implementation.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Need to Have:
- At least 3 or more years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, local labor laws, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle payroll discrepancies effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple payroll cycles.
- Experience in payroll audits and compliance reporting is a plus.
