Responsibilities

1) Cost Control Integration Function for Projects

Control budget maintenance, commitment monitoring, expenditure reporting, cost estimates to completion, and project cost reporting activities.

Identify, analyze, report, and manage variations or changes that affect project performance to ensure corrective/preventive actions are taken when appropriate.

Coordinate cost control inputs from the Project team for scenario simulation of project decision-making.

Consolidate and compare estimates to recent wards, completed projects, as a platform to understand internal capabilities, room for improvement, and future project forecasts.

2) Business Partnering & Financial Analysis

Partner closely with the project team, providing regular interface with budget owners to review commitments and forecasts for periodic financial forecast updates.

Foster strong communication channels between cross-functional teams to ensure timely responses, transparency, and accuracy in project performance reporting and decision-making.

3) Drive & Lead Proposals for New Project Costing

Review and report project cost assessments against scopes of work and budgets.

Contribute ideas and strategies in new projects to minimize risk and maximize opportunities.

Actively participate in new project costing proposals, from initial documentation through approval processes and reporting.

4) Process Improvement

Drive process improvement opportunities when required.

Explore opportunities for digitalizing business functions in cost control.

Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

A chartered accountant with recognition from any of the following: ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, MICPA, CPA.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost analysis, cost management, or cost control.
