Key Accountabilities:

  1. Conduct market research to analyse industry trends and competitors, using insights to strategise and develop SEO-optimised, audience-relevant content for digital channels, with adaptability for offline materials.
  2. Optimise search rankings and drive organic traffic while strategically promoting hospital specialties and doctors through targeted content.
  3. Plan the editorial calendar and develop/produce/write compelling content such as articles, video, infomercial, infographic, guidebook etc that are consistent with our brand, voice, style and tone. Content must be well researched, combining online sources, interviews, and studies.
  4. Manage and ensure that the editorial calendar is delivered according to timeline
  5. Work with team members such as MarCom, Digital, PR, Affiliate Management etc on upcoming projects and incorporate into content calendar and create content based on project needs.
  6. Conduct the necessary due diligence, proofread and edit content produced by agencies or teammates, including conceptualizing the projects up front and copy editing prior to web publishing.
  7. Work with stakeholders that include Hospitals’ CEOs, Hospitals’ Marketing, Doctors, Nurses and other relevant parties to develop content that meet their target audience’s needs.
  8. Translate copies from English to Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Malaysia to English with accuracy. Ability to translate from English or Bahasa Malaysia to Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  9. Work with translators (for international content) to get content translated to the right mediums and ensure translated content accuracy.
  10. Manage content creation by agencies and freelancers and ensure on-time delivery according to content calendar.
  11. Maintain familiarity with current healthcare industry trends, pharmaceutical practices and regulatory requirements that affect medical writing and make appropriate recommendations regarding content strategy.
  12. Be familiar with Company’s services and facilities including product information, visual aids, articles, and related promotional materials to ensure facts are correct in content writing.
  13. Track and measure content performance and analyze report for continual improvement.
  14. Keep the team up to date with the latest trends in content marketing.
  15. Manage and ensure allocated budgets are utilized effectively.
  16. To perform other relevant duties which may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Marketing or designated representative.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Candidate must possess at least a BSc, Life Sciences or BA, Marketing, PR, Communications or Business Degree.
  2. At least 3 years working experience in editorial positions.
  3. Proficient in the English language. Bahasa Malaysia.
  4. Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  5. Good knowledge of SEO, web traffic metrics and marketing.
  6. Eye for detail and strong writing and composition skills.
  7. Capability in taking complex scientific content and presenting it in clear, concise messaging.
  8. Experience with copywriting for health services/industries is an added advantage.
  9. Familiarity with social media.
  10. Ability to multitask and take on multiple assignments.
  11. Comfortable working with PowerPoint for presentation or Excel spreadsheet for data analysis when needed.
  12. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese language is a plus.
