Role Title: Application Support Specialist

Job Description (JD)

  • Provide guidance for BAU functional support to Transaction Banking systems, e.g. Cash Management System, Trade Finance System across different phases of system development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with various Transaction Banking system Vendor and internal Technology team to ensure system implementation is aligned with system requirements with best practices. Create a detailed process analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and suggesting solutions to improve the process.
  • Analyze and evaluate the existing processes and systems to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
  • Stay up with industry trends, latest technology, and best practices in modernizing system and automation processes.
  • Champion/participate in critical incident calls, analyze & troubleshoot issues & problems escalated from Contact Center, Implementation Team, Sales, etc
  • Identify & escalate defects/issues to next level if required with quality & in-dept Level-2 analysis and on timely manner.
  • Provide recovery support for PROD incident, e.g. reconciliation, status monitoring, internal broadcast, customer management. Provide UAT support to project/initiative/defect/hotfixes
  • Provide business verification/sanity test support for system deployment or maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with LOB counterparts, IT, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to optimize business benefits and ensure compliance in implementation of TB systems.
  • Assist in driving the prioritization & development of TB system initiatives & enhancements, and to provide the necessary training and support to other teams.

Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable)

  • Min. 5 years relevant experience.
  • Degree in Information Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Finance related disciplines
  • Good knowledge in Transaction Banking’s Corporate lifecycle (PayNet product eg: DuitNow, IBG, FPX and etc) and business process. Knowledge of other Banking product domains will be added advantages.
  • Possess in business analysis, strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills including documentation (guidelines) and presentation skills.
  • Good attitude and self-driven, able to plan and execute projects with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with IT project management approaches, tools, and phases of project SDLC management.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess leadership quality.
  • Good exposure in electronic banking platforms
