Planning Executive (Demand Planner)

In view of our expansion, we require the services of a dynamic and motivated candidate for the following position in our fully air-conditioned plant in Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone, Penang.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Master Planner, the Planning Executive will be responsible for the following, i.e.

1. Manage customer orders, and coordinate with the customer to address any changes in orders to delivery schedules. Provide visibility to external customers on order status and expected delivery timelines.
2. Serve as the primary point of contact for external customers on demand-related issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with external customers to understand their evolving needs and preferences, work with customer to resolve any issues related to demand, shortages, or inventory availability.
3. Manage forecast from the customer, including development and refinement of the process, analysis of the impact of demand changes, customer interface, and development and communication of the weekly build requirement to the company.
4. Work with customers to understand their demand for new products and incorporate it into the forecasting process and coordinate the launch of new products with external customers, ensuring that they have the required stock and product information.
5. Liaise with production planning and ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production to meet the target shipment for customer.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, such as sales forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, production capacity to enhance demand planning accuracy.
7. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or the management team from time to time.

Qualifications:

a. Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Management, Mathematics or a related field.

b. At least 0-3 years of working experience in CM, supply chain, manufacturing or a related field.

c. Proficient in both spoken and written in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.

d. Proficient in using Computer literature such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

e. Strong data analytic skills (highly experienced in extracting, manipulating and reporting data from multiple sources) and good presentation skills.

f. Dynamics and detailed personnel who has the ambition to be successful in a fun work environment.

g. Good follow-up skills, accountability, customer-oriented mindset, on time feedback and support.

h. Proactive and passionate in planning field.

i. Self-motivated and ability to work independently with the ability to effectively multitask and collaborate in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
