- Maintain and repair damaged or broken pipes, sink, clogged drains, toilets - plumbing systems
- Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and initiate repairs
- Liaise with contractors, pipefitters, and other construction workers to ensure an effective plumbing system.
- Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work. Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.
- Submits request to the Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager for the purchases of parts and consumables.
- Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.
- Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations
- Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager.
- To ensure that the company’s maintenance and safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the hotel.
- To give both internal and external customers quality service.
- To review, evaluate, plan and take action so that the hotel achieves its safety and maintenance standards and costs targets.
- To ensure that the works carried out are to the standards required.
- To prepare, write up and issue specifications of work in respect of minor/major works, as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- To ensure that contractors are aware of their responsibilities while on the premises and is informed of health and safety requirements, e.g. fire regulations, fire exits, hazardous substances.
- To ensure that safe working practices are adhered to.
- To ensure that all defects are dealt with as quickly as practicable to the required standard, both inside and outside.
- To produce accurate costing on repair, renewal and hire, where necessary.
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Physically fit - able to lift, handle, and move fairly heavy plumbing tools and materials, able to withstand hours of work while standing, crouching or taking other rigorous positions
- Problem-solving Skills: They are versed in identifying plumbing problems and providing solutions to resolve such issues
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
