Job responsibilities:

Material Controller Scope of Work

1. Inspection of Incoming Goods:

  • Responsible for verifying that all incoming goods match the specified order details, including correct specifications, quality, and quantity. This includes ensuring the goods meet the standards as outlined in the purchase orders or contracts.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection upon delivery to confirm the goods are same as the agreed-upon specifications and quantities.

2. Maintaining Comprehensive Records:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchased materials, including quantities, specifications, and suppliers.
  • Track the usage of materials throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation for materials used, and keeping an ongoing tally of remaining stock for future planning.

3. Reporting to Project In-Charge (PIC):

  • Provide detailed material reports to the Project In-Charge (PIC) on a weekly or monthly basis, as per project requirements. These reports should include information on the status of materials, usage, and upcoming material needs.

4. Material Categorization and Organization:

  • Organize materials by category, type, or project phase to streamline access and facilitate quick retrieval. Implement an efficient storage system to ensure easy identification and tracking.
  • Label and categorize all materials clearly, ensuring that all stock is easy to locate and access as required.

5. Material Collection and Pickup:

  • Coordinate and manage the collection of goods when required. This may involve picking up materials from suppliers or other locations in a timely manner to avoid project delays.

6. Material Storage and Security:

  • Ensure that all materials are stored in appropriate conditions to prevent damage, degradation, or loss. Implement safety and security measures to protect the materials from theft or misuse.

7. Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, project management, and logistics, to ensure the smooth flow of materials to and from the project site.
  • Provide support to the procurement team with insights into material requirements and usage patterns.

Qualifications and work experience:

  • Diploma related to mechanical work or engineering field. Experience in engineering industry or hardware business experience.
  • Experience minimum 2 years.Basic Knowledge in hardware and engineering fabrication material.

Job Types: Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
