About the Role
As an IT Support Intern at Photobook Worldwide, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. Under the guidance of our experienced IT Support Executive, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, while learning about IT asset management, security compliance, and system maintenance. This internship is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
Job Responsibilities:
1. User Assistance and Technical Support:
- Assist in providing first-level IT support for employees, resolving basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to technical support requests via IT ticketing system, email, or chat under the guidance of the IT Support Executive.
- Support remote and on-site employees with troubleshooting IT-related problems.
2. System Maintenance:
- Assist in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
- Help maintain IT equipment by performing regular updates and checks.
3. Network Support:
- Support the IT team in setting up and maintaining network resources such as routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Assist in basic network troubleshooting and monitoring connectivity issues.
4. Software Management:
- Help install, update, and troubleshoot software applications.
- Assist in managing software licenses and IT procurement processes.
5. Security Compliance:
- Support the monitoring and enforcement of IT security policies, including patch management and antivirus updates.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with access control and security standards.
6. User and IT Asset Management:
- Help track and manage IT hardware and software assets, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and passwords as needed.
7. Training & Documentation:
- Assist in conducting user training sessions on IT systems and tools.
- Help create and maintain IT support guides and documentation.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, troubleshooting, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to assist users effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
