Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in equipment repair, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, working with low voltage systems, and utilizing various hand tools. The Machine Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality of our equipment and supporting our operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for repairs.
  • Conduct inspections of machinery components to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
  • Provide support for computer hardware and networking issues related to machine operation.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience as a service technician or similar role is a plus.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking principles is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
