The Retail Operations Executive is the main channel between the management and retail, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring efficient processes, exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets. This role demands strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of retail operations in the fast-paced fashion sector.
Retail Sales Operation
- Ensure that all retail operations run smoothly on a daily basis.
- Monitor store performance and implement improvements where necessary to meet sales targets.
- Supervising and guiding staff toward maximum performance.
- Collaborate with store managers to ensure team members are properly trained and equipped to meet operational standards.
- Preparing and controlling the outlet’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
- Responsible for motivating and engaging staff to ensure the staff represents and embraces Naelofar values and understands the goals and ensures excellent customers’ shopping experience and a positive image of the Brand.
- Optimize efficiency and oversee the day-to-day work and operations of boutique outlets to ensure compliance with company rules and guidelines.
- Conduct audit checks, provide feedback and suggestions to retail outlets in charge and perform follow ups.
- Support marketing activities to ensure excellent execution of promotions and merchandising.
- Monitor daily and monthly sales achieved for all boutique outlets and verify sales transactions to resolve all discrepancies.
- Generate and analyze operational reports, including sales data, stock levels, and customer feedback.
- Maintain good rapport with all staff, customers as well as suppliers.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on store performance, potential improvements, and emerging trends.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales per square foot, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover.
- Able to perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.
People Development & Sales Team Management
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of retail staff on operational procedures, product knowledge, and customer service practices.
- Lead, train, motivate and develop retail staff in promoting courtesy and improving customer service standards.
- Develop and maintain employee schedules, ensuring the store is appropriately staffed during all shifts.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance or support as needed to enhance employee productivity and morale.
Inventory Management
- Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring stock levels are optimized and well-organized.
- Conduct regular stock audits, track product movement, and report discrepancies to management.
- Manage stock replenishment, transfers, and returns to ensure availability of products while minimizing losses.
- Ensure that all products are properly stored and handled according to safety and quality standards.
Customer Focus
- Handle and respond to customers' complaints when required.
- A well-thought out customer support strategy.
- Listening and implementing customer feedback.
- Building personalized experiences.
- Evolving based on customer needs.
- Creating a customer-focused culture with staff.
Educations and Skill requirement
- Diploma in Business Administration / Retail Management or in any related field
- At least 2+ years experience in Retail / Fashion retail
- Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially advanced excel & Google Excel
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Critical thinker and analytical problem solver
