Job Description:
- Act as the primary authority on safety for the construction site, ensuring all personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with safety policies.
- Deliver on-site safety training sessions and refreshers to all employees, subcontractors, and new hires.
- Act as the liaison for communication between project management, site engineers, subcontractors, and corporate safety leadership.
- Conduct routine site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits, documenting findings and following up on corrective measures.
- Ensure proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fall protection systems, and other safety gear.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports and documentation on incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a safety professional in construction, renewable energy, or solar-specific projects.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1926 (Construction Safety), NFPA 70E, and other applicable standards.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices, including fall protection, electrical safety, equipment operation, and excavation safety.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 (minimum), First Aid/CPR, and other relevant safety certifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence field teams and subcontractors.
