Job Summary:
The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services required by the company while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. The role involves supplier management, negotiation, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, goods, and services as per company requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with existing vendors and develop new supplier partnerships.
- Supplier & Contract Management
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms for the company.
- Manage vendor databases and ensure up-to-date documentation.
- Cost & Budget Control
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor procurement costs and work within the allocated budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Inventory & Purchase Order Management
- Process purchase orders (PO) and ensure accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to determine procurement needs.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
- Minimize risks related to procurement, such as supplier dependency and quality issues.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain procurement reports and records.
- Analyze supplier performance and prepare evaluation reports.
- Provide regular updates on procurement activities to management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
