Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation Assistance:
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits.
- Help with the preparation of sauces, garnishes, and other items as required.
- Ensure that all food is handled and stored properly, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Keep kitchen equipment, tools, and appliances clean and sanitized.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils used in food preparation.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste according to the establishment’s guidelines.
Stock and Inventory Management:
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies, ensuring they are properly labeled and organized.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the kitchen supervisor or manager when supplies are running low.
- Help with the rotation of stock to prevent spoilage and wastage.
Assisting in Cooking and Plating:
- Assist in cooking and plating simple dishes or garnishes under the direction of chefs.
- Follow safety procedures in the handling of kitchen equipment and tools.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and local health regulations.
- Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
Team Support:
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and smooth kitchen operations.
- Support kitchen team in preparing for peak hours and rush periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
