Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, overseeing the operations of the recycling centre, and setting all (SOPs). This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for sustainability and recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:

· Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities.

· Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and expand the recycling centre’s market presence.

2. Client Relationship Management:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

· Ensure client satisfaction by addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

3. Revenue Growth:

· Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets.

· Monitor and analyse sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.

4. Operational Oversight:

· Oversee daily operations of the recycling centre to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

· Manage and coordinate the activities of the operations team.

· Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

5. Strategic Planning:

· Work with senior management to develop long-term business strategies, including the setup and implementation of SOPs.

· Identify trends and opportunities in the recycling industry.

· Provide insights and recommendations to improve business operations and profitability.

6. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

· Provide training and support to junior staff members.

· Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment

7. Marketing Monitoring & Execution:

· Monitor the execution of marketing plans developed by the marketing team.

· Ensure marketing strategies are aligned with business goals and objectives.

· Provide feedback and recommendations to the marketing team to optimize campaign performance.

· Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the recycling, sustainability, or waste management industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong market research and analytical skills to identify business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Experience in overseeing operations and implementing SOPs.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term business plans.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to drive business objectives.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in recycling operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
