
Baker Sous Chef
Magnificent Park Bakery is a vibrant and artisanal bakery café specializing in freshly baked croissants, sourdough, bread, cookies, cakes, and more. Our dine-in concept blends high-quality ingredients, traditional techniques, and creative flavors to create an exceptional bakery experience.
We are seeking a Baker Sous Chef to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in artisanal baking, particularly with croissants, sourdough, and pastries. As the Baker Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in leading the baking team, maintaining product quality, ensuring consistency, and supporting daily bakery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Baker in managing daily bakery production and operations.
- Supervise and train junior bakers and kitchen staff to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Prepare and bake croissants, sourdough, bread, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods following recipes and standards.
- Monitor ingredient inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed when necessary.
- Ensure all baked goods meet presentation and taste quality standards before serving to customers.
- Work closely with the Head Baker and management to develop new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards comply with regulations.
- Troubleshoot baking-related issues, adjusting processes as needed for quality control.
- Assist in scheduling, workflow organization, and coordination of kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in artisanal bread, croissants, pastries, and general baking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Leadership skills with experience in supervising or training a team.
- Passion for baking and creativity in developing new products.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene compliance.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in baking techniques.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
