Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct thorough oral examinations to identify dental problems, including cavities, gum disease, and other conditions.
  • Review patient history and medical conditions to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and extractions.
  • Provide dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Oral Health Education:
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits.
  • Advise patients on nutrition and lifestyle choices that impact oral health.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with other dental professionals, such as dental hygienists and assistants, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining treatment options and addressing concerns.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, procedures performed, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards in dental practice.
  • Supervision (in some cases):
  • Supervise and train dental assistants and hygienists, providing guidance and support.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.
  • Participate in continuing education courses to maintain and enhance skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a dental residency or fellowship may be required for certain specialties.
  • Licensure:
  • Valid dental license in the state or region where practicing.
  • Skills:
  • Strong clinical skills in all areas of general dentistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Computer proficiency for electronic health records and other dental software.
  • Experience:
  • Prior experience in a dental practice may be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
