Job Summary:

Richiamo Coffee Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to oversee workplace health and safety in our food technology manufacturing industry and chain restaurant outlets. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and be capable of working with minimal supervision to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies in compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at manufacturing sites and restaurant outlets.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent workplace incidents.
  • Train and educate employees on health and safety protocols, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, prepare reports, and suggest preventive measures.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment and procedures are up to standard.
  • Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain proper documentation of safety compliance, audits, and reports.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety-related role within the food technology manufacturing industry or a chain restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP principles, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Certification in Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or related qualifications is an added advantage.
