  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Website Tester to ensure the quality, usability, and functionality of our web development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience testing websites for bugs, performance issues, and user experience improvements. You will work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website Testing:
  • Conduct thorough testing of websites, including functional, usability, regression, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and user experience issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Verify website responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and performance across different devices and platforms.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce bugs, clarify requirements, and verify fixes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and designers to ensure requirements are met and user expectations are achieved.
  • Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts based on project requirements.
  • Perform manual testing to ensure all features function as intended.
  • Provide input for automated testing strategies where applicable.
  • Performance and Security Checks:
  • Conduct basic performance testing to identify slow-loading pages or resource-heavy elements.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and verify data protection measures.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, test results, and bug reports.
  • Generate reports and communicate test progress and findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Website Tester, QA Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of website testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Ability to perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
  • Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to identify and report issues effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with performance testing tools like Lighthouse or GTmetrix.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in website testing or software quality assurance roles.
