The Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management for the shared services functions, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and analysis. The role will also involve overseeing accounting functions, internal controls, and compliance, while working closely with other business units to support operational excellence.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Prepare, analyze, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for businesses/clients under the shared services.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding cost management, financial performance, and resource allocation.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Accounting and Reporting:

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for businesses/clients under the shared services.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure that all necessary financial documents are available.

Financial Controls & Compliance:

  • Establish, implement, and maintain financial controls and procedures for the businesses/clients.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, policies, and financial reporting standards.
  • Support internal audit processes to assess and improve financial control processes.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow for businesses/clients’ operations, ensuring the division has adequate liquidity for day-to-day activities.
  • Work with the finance team to optimize working capital and cash management.

Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor expenses and recommend actions to reduce costs and improve profitability.
  • Perform cost variance analysis and suggest corrective actions as necessary.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance juniors, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the finance team works effectively with other departments.

Financial guidance and Insights:

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial guidance and insights that support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance function to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide ad-hoc financial reports, analysis, and support as required by senior management, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
