Overview
  • HLB Release Management Team team will mainly involve in the deployment and maintenance stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Release Management Team will work closely and communicates regularly with the IT project manager, application and testing team in finalizing a project's release and deployment process.
  • Responsible for the controlling of changes and updates of project deployment start from the User Acceptence Test (UAT) to the Live Production environments in line with the ITIL framework.
  • Always track and maintain proper documentation of project deployment progress, including the software version and builds, bugs and fixes, enhancement, platforms and tools used for the deployment.
  • Collect and well kept project baseline and acquire all access to the required IT platforms, software tools and pages to ensure a project's successfully handover to Release Management Team.
  • Adhere to the Change and Release Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure all application changes are strictly follow the correct process before proceed with the deployment
  • Accountable for day-to-day deployment in both UAT and production application minor changes and standby for any emergency or expedited change request
  • Involve in CAC Meeting for planning, scheduling resources to ensure bulk release activity was deployed successfully within approved time window and minimized impact to the production.
  • Ensure that approved changes are successfully deployed to production, installed in host and maintained the parameter, released the correct version and build, implemented and recorded the change request accurately.
  • Implement and maintains IT Change Management principles, standards, plans and procedures within the agreed upon scope.
  • Assists auditors with auditing the activities of the Change and Release Management function for compliance with established procedures and IT control framework.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide recommendations and input to management on existing or new processes and procedures to improve the effectiveness of Change and Release Management.
  • Coordinate the release activity within the team.

  • Required knowledge in excel and ppt to help for reporting purpose
