Role Description
To deliver the sales targets for a given portfolio of brands in the business by ensuring full understanding and execution of Brand, Customer and Account Plans and tactics.
Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives, including recruitment, training, development and the management of performance to ensure that they are motivated and equipped with the knowledge, skills and support to perform and execute effectively. Shape the culture of performance, empowerment, accountability, innovation, customer focus and execution.
Additional allowance will be allocated for this role during the period.
Responsibilities
- Business / Customer / Account plans developed and executed for portfolio of products for a given geography, in line with Pfizer values
- Allocate resources according to business / account plans
- Achievement of Area Sales Budgets
- Preparation, implementation and achievement of Area Business Plan
- Preparation, implementation and achievement of individual SE's development plan
- Regular review of performance and progress of implementation of plans against agreed metrics
- Ensure the integration and sharing of all brand and customer knowledge into brand and customer marketing via agreed processes
- Develop constructive internal and cross functional relationships to facilitate team working; the exchange of information; customer knowledge and the development of business opportunities.
- Produce and submit reports as required
- Build and manage key relationships locally e.g. influential customers as part of the agreed
business / account plans
- Coaching of representatives around their specific role accountabilities particularly their selling
skills, brand and customer knowledge
- Disciplined and regular management of individual performance to ensure that all teammembers' are contributing to their maximum capability and capacity
- Alignment of own and teams' personal objectives against business /account plans
- Develop a culture of performance, empowerment, accountability, customer focus, innovationand excellence in execution
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of people management – motivation,
coaching and development
- Between 3 – 5 years working experience in Pharmaceutical Industry.
- In-depth understanding of Pharmaceutical industry business
- Strategic thinker and able to anticipate future needs.
- Strong Performance Management capability
- Change Leadership
- Implementation/execution skills
- Negotiation skills – internal and external
- Computer literate
