Job Purpose

Manage and deliver construction projects to ensure projects are completed safely, within budget and on time to support the township revenue recognition while mitigating the project risks.

Job Responsibilities

Construction Management

• Monitor construction projects from commencement of work to completion.

• Manage and monitor the completion of construction works within contract value and to reduce the occurrence of variation orders entailing additional cost whilst ensuring quality products and timely completion.

• Review the project in-depth and work with the appointed contractors to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

• Examine and review construction work progress daily to ensure the project is on schedule.

• Liaising and working cooperatively with consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve site issues, technical coordination, RFI etc.

• Visit sites regularly during construction and attend Client Consultant Meetings, Site Meeting, Coordination Meetings etc.

• Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies and other project disruptions.

• Examine, assess, manage, and mitigate risks related to construction activities.

• Ensure applicable legal and other requirements are fulfilled by contractors and suppliers.

Quality of Work

• Ensure construction standards are of high quality and proper construction techniques and methodologies are utilized

• Implement policies, activities, procedures and instruction as relevant and required by QSHE management system and in accordance with SOP and ISO quality standard.

• Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable, and that tools and equipment are in good working condition.

• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and all other relevant regulations.

• Ensure the safety and health officer carry out hazard identification, risk assessment and implementation of operational control for the project.

• Ensure the safety and health officer monitor the contractors and suppliers on their implementation of operational controls.

• Any other responsibilities assigned by the Management.

Requirements

Education/ Professional Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or in a related field.

Professional certification, such as CCM (certified construction manager), AC (associate constructor), or CPC (certified professional constructor).

Professional Experience

Minimum 4 years of working experience in construction industry.
