Job Description for Preschool Teacher- Teach Preschool according to the prescribed Cambridge curriculum.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by constantly monitoring their whereabouts.
- Observe students during daycare, providing them with engaging activities and assignments.
- Administer nap time to the class at the designated time, ensuring all necessary resources and safety precautions are in place.
- Provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engage students and are appropriate for their individual needs.
- Develop year plans, unit plans, and lesson plans.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for learning activities.
- Incorporate a variety of learning materials and resources to enhance student engagement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of students.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and enhance instruction.
- Observe and evaluate students' performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
- Provide appropriate and constructive feedback on student work.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Regularly update records, including on the school’s teacher/parent online portal.
- Prepare required reports on students and activities.
- Manage student behavior and maintain discipline according to the school’s expectations.
- Apply appropriate disciplinary measures in line with the school’s disciplinary policy.
- Perform pastoral duties such as student support, academic counseling, and offering encouragement.
- Participate in extracurricular activities including social events, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
- Attend and participate in faculty and parent meetings.
- Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Stay updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods.
- Take class attendance in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in school camps and excursions.
- Contribute to the academic and social life of the school community.
- Provide coverage for absent colleagues when required.
- Serve on school committees as needed.
- Participate in at least one after-school activity per term.
- Take responsibility for creating and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Share resources for the benefit of school programs.
- Set a positive example for students by modeling professional behavior.
- Monitor student uniforms and appearance, ensuring they adhere to the school's standards.
