Job Summary:

The Head of Payment is responsible for overseeing and managing all payment-related operations at City University Malaysia. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate processing of student tuition fees, vendor payments, staff payroll disbursements, and refunds. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, compliance enforcement, and stakeholder management to enhance financial operations. The Head of Payment will play a key role in developing efficient workflows, implementing automation, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:Payment Processing & Management

  • Oversee and manage all financial transactions, including tuition fee collections, vendor payments, staff payroll, and refunds.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments while maintaining financial data integrity.
  • Develop and implement efficient payment workflows and automation strategies.
  • Monitor and reconcile payment records, ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Strategic Planning & Compliance

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks related to payment processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax laws, banking regulations, and university financial policies.
  • Conduct periodic financial audits and liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with students, faculty, and external vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.
  • Work with IT and Finance teams to enhance digital payment solutions for a seamless user experience.
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management on payment trends and outstanding transactions.

System & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to payment systems, including digital payment platforms, online banking solutions, and ERP integrations.
  • Lead initiatives to implement cashless payment solutions and modernize financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update SOPs for payment processes, ensuring clear and efficient guidelines for staff.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor the payments team to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
  • Conduct training and professional development programs for the finance team to enhance their knowledge of financial regulations and payment technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance department.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
