Job Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods and materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.
  • Perform regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

2. Warehouse Operations:

  • Load and unload goods manually or using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Maintain proper storage of goods in designated areas.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and organizational protocols during handling and storage.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Update and maintain inventory records using manual logs or warehouse management software.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.

4. Workplace Maintenance:

  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment and report maintenance needs.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Support team members and contribute to an efficient workflow.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum SPM holder or its equivalent
  • Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations is an advantage but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of inventory software and systems.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a warehouse environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
