Purpose of the position
- To support the department head on daily finance, account, treasury, taxation, Company Secretary, audit and SST work tasks and to ensure effective completion on time for the department.
Key responsibilities & duties
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts and group consolidate.
- Ensure that the organization’s financial records and record keeping methods are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Liaising with all parties involved in financial transactions
- Merger and acquisition
- Preparation of information on the financial direction of the business
- Creation of all necessary reports to assist with strategic financial planning
- Provide support to Business Development teams during pre-development or pre-acquisition phase (i.e. financial due diligence, business evaluation) and during the post-merger integration phase (implementation of Group Treasury policies and standards).
- Structuring financial deals
- Liaising with all parties involved in financial transactions
- Assisting with negotiations
- Collaborate with the team to enhance reporting quality and improving productivity
Academic or trade qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Business or Partial Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent
Work experience and skills
- Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years working experience in audit firm preferably or in an accountancy or corporate finance capacity within a fast paced and dynamic business environment.
- Good communication skills both in written and verbal form.
- Good in analytical skills identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities related to corporate activities.
- Highly proficient in Ms. Excel, Ms. Office, Ms. Outlook, and PowerPoint for creation of financial reporting
- Must have a keen eye for detail, have excellent project management skills, be highly organized and result-driven, be highly enthusiastic and ambitious, be a self-starter, be proactive going beyond the call of duty, good problem solving and responsive fast to solve the problem
- Have listing ( IPO ) experience / working under investment banking line will be an added advantage
