Content Specialist - Datacom/ Telecom
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
· Creating and executing content marketing strategies and plans, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
· Collaborate with various cross-functional teams such as BU, sales, digital marketing and customer support to create and deliver engaging content
· Research speaking and editorial engagements for the thought leaders of the company as well as identifying awards opportunities
· Orchestrate multichannel campaigns, leveraging channels and tactics such as digital, social media, web, media, PR, virtual and in-person events, and email
· Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
· 5+ years of related experience.
· Developing and executing marketing strategies.
· Knowledge of search engine optimization and marketing.
· Creating a social media presence and engagement strategy.
· Writing engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of channels.
· Analyzing data to measure success and inform future strategy.
· Coordinating cross-functional teams and projects.
· Developing and maintaining brand identity and messaging.
· Creating high-quality content that is relevant and engaging.
· Communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
· Developing new and innovative ideas for marketing campaigns.
Skills & Other Requirements
· Knowledge of the Optical Communications Industry - Telecom: business dynamics, main players, main events and dedicated media
· Strong writing skills
· Knowledge of SEO principles
· Experience in content strategy planning
· Ability to analyze data and report on performance
· Understanding of content distribution channels
· Expertise in email marketing campaigns
· Familiarity with social media platforms
· Ability to develop creative content ideas
· Experience with A/B testing
· Understanding of web analytics tools
· Familiarity with AI tools
Working Conditions
· This position is onsite / hybrid
· May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
· Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
· Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
· May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs
Physical Requirements
· Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
· Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
· Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
· Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
