Job Summary:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal functionality of critical machinery, systems, and infrastructure within the facility. This includes CNC equipment (milling, wirecut, EDM), air compressors, AHUs (Air Handling Units), chiller towers, and the fire protection systems. You will perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, as well as safety and regulatory guidelines. Your role will ensure minimal downtime, maintain operational efficiency, and meet compliance standards across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Machinery Maintenance: Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair CNC milling machines, CNC wirecut machines, and CNC EDM machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
- Air Compressors & Chillers: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on air compressors, AHUs (Air Handling Units), and chiller towers to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.
- Preventive Maintenance: Follow a scheduled preventive maintenance program for all critical equipment, including CNC machines, HVAC, and fire protection systems, to avoid unplanned breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues in CNC machinery, HVAC, fire protection systems, and other facility equipment. Provide fast and effective repair solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Fire Protection System Maintenance: Regularly inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency exits, extinguishers, and other fire safety equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- ISO 9001 Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are compliant with ISO 9001 quality management system standards. Maintain proper documentation for maintenance work and audits, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements for maintenance work, with an emphasis on the safety of employees and the integrity of the fire protection system and other critical systems.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with audits related to equipment and system maintenance.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring they meet company standards and deadlines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to the facility’s operations.
- Emergency Response: Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency repairs and system failures, including critical systems such as fire protection, HVAC, and CNC machinery.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring all necessary components are on hand for scheduled repairs and emergency situations.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager or management from time to time, ensuring the continued smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least SPM/STPM, Diploma, technical certifications in facility maintenance, HVAC, CNC machinery, electrical systems, or mechanical fields preferred.
- 2 years and above of experience in facility maintenance, with a focus on CNC equipment, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and other critical facility infrastructure.
- Experience with fire protection system inspections, testing, and maintenance (sprinkler systems, fire alarms, extinguishers, etc.).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience with compliance requirements for maintenance and quality systems.
- Familiarity with CNC machines, air compressors, HVAC systems, and other building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system failures efficiently.
- Experience using maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and software for repairs and tracking work progress.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, management, and external vendors.
- Ability to perform physical labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
- A proactive, safety-conscious approach to maintenance, with a commitment to reducing risks and improving facility operations.
