Role Overview: As the Social Media Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and executing social media content in multiple languages across various platforms. This includes creating engaging, region-specific content that resonates with our diverse audiences and amplifies the brand’s voice. You will be an integral part of our Marketing team, ensuring we maintain a strong and consistent online presence in the APAC region and other regions as we grow. You will be working closely with the Social Media Manager to plan, develop, coordinate, and execute regional social media content strategy accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and execute the regional social media strategy tailored to the APAC market, ensuring alignment with the overall brand objectives.
- Manage and schedule social media content across key platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create, develop, and localise content in multiple languages (primarily English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, and Mandarin) to resonate with our regional targeted audience.
- Collaborate with local teams to create content that is culturally relevant and engaging for our regional targeted audience.
- Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages to maintain a positive online reputation and brand sentiment.
- Track social media performance and engagement metrics to optimise content strategy.
- Utilise Sprout Social to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and report on analytics.
- Implement social listening and sentiment analysis to gauge audience sentiment and industry trends.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Content and Design teams to achieve business objectives and deliver solid communication effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve engagement and content marketing performance.
- Support the execution of paid social campaigns and promotions accordingly.
- Report directly to the Regional Social Media Manager for all work purposes.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 3 years of professional experience in social media management and marketing, preferably within the financial services, fintech, and advertising industries.
- Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (written and spoken) for content development, and to effectively engage with regional targeted audience.
- Experience in managing social media content in multiple languages for regional markets (APAC experience is a plus, but not a requirement).
- Proficiency in using social media management tools like Sprout Social (ideal but not requirement).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their analytics, and how to tailor content for specific regions and audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content.
- Familiarity with social media trends and best practices for a regional focus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable team player with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
