About the Role

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to support our banking sector projects. This role focuses on data handling, analysis, and documentation to facilitate data warehouse (DWH) migration efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience in data mapping, and the ability to work closely with business units to define data terms and business concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements for consolidating data tables in the DWH system for migration.
  • Collaborate with business units to create detailed business requirement documents.
  • Develop data mapping documents, specifying how data is extracted from source systems.
  • Document data relationships within source systems and validate with System Analysts.
  • Assess the impact of new requirements on existing data terms.
  • Apply data-driven methods to verify business rules and ensure completeness.
  • Define operational data control rules based on business logic and workflows.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst (BA), System Analyst (SA), or in data processing roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with a clear, logical approach.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in documentation management.
  • Proactive, able to report issues and propose solutions to direct managers.
  • Team player with problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related fields. Candidates with a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields and 3–4 years of data processing experience are also welcomed.
  • Mandarin/Cantonese proficiency is preferred for better communication with stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12-24 months

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month

  • Monday to Friday
