Elder Care Center Manager
Job Summary:
The Elder Care Center Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the elder care facility, ensuring high-quality care and services for residents. This position involves overseeing staff, managing budgets, maintaining compliance with regulations, and fostering a supportive and enriching environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Oversight:
· Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily operations of the center.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to residents, staff, and facility operations.
· Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and budget management.
· Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to meet the needs of residents.
2. Staff Management:
· Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members, including nurses, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
· Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff.
· Conduct performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
· Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and respect.
3. Quality of Care:
· Ensure that residents receive high-quality care and support tailored to their individual needs.
· Implement programs and activities to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among residents.
· Monitor resident satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical care and services for residents.
4. Compliance and Regulation:
· Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing elder care facilities.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including licensing, safety, and sanitation standards.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
· Address any deficiencies or areas of non-compliance promptly and effectively.
5. Financial Management:
· Develop and manage the annual budget for the elder care center, including revenue projections and expense allocations.
· Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
· Review billing and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
6. Community Relations:
· Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and the broader community.
· Serve as a liaison between the elder care center and external stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.
· Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives to raise awareness about elder care issues and resources.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Previous experience in a leadership role within a healthcare or elder care setting.
· Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in elder care.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
· Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of elderly individuals.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
