Position Overview:

The MIS IT Assistant will support the IT department in maintaining the organization's Management Information Systems (MIS). The role involves providing technical support, managing databases, ensuring data security, and assisting in the implementation of IT solutions that enhance business operations. Responsibilities:

You are required to perform these job functions:

  • Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and upgrading of MIS applications and software.
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues related to MIS.
  • Support in managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Identify and resolve system and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in training staff on the use of MIS systems and software applications.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of MIS operations, procedures, and system updates.
  • Assist in managing data backup processes and disaster recovery planning.
  • Support the IT team in the implementation of new IT projects, including system upgrades and the integration of new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures, safeguarding sensitive company information.
  • Help with the installation and updating of software applications on user devices.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or MIS roles.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, network administration, and IT security.
  • Proficiency in MIS software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
