Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating proteins.
- Cooking Assistance: Support senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Kitchen Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and storage areas.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and ensure proper food storage and labeling.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Learning & Development: Take initiative to learn new cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen procedures from senior chefs.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary training is a plus but not required.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts
