About your new role:

As Product Manager you will be responsible for the development, review, maintenance and support for the qualifications and teaching and learning programmes.

​You will develop, maintain and deliver new and existing qualifications and programmes offered, in line with regulatory requirements. To lead on specific qualifications and programmes, ensuring the effective operation of assessment cycles to the schedules.

· Lead and develop a portfolio of products specialising in vocational training and development across service industries

· Appoint, train and support contractors/developers

· Commission assessment artefacts (assessment and marking scheme) and sign off

· Manage and give briefings on trials and pilots, as required

· Develop Learning Outcomes, Assessment Criteria and Grade Descriptors

· Liaise with contracted markers and moderators

· Liaise with Academic delivery team during marking cycle, collate reports, service and attend Assessments Boards to determine pass boundaries

· Develop new products in line with the market driven product development process

· Provide data/statistics for product KPIs

· Provide data/statistics for products for each cycle

· Run qualification maintenance reviews as per schedule

· Run Teaching and Learning materials maintenance reviews as per schedule

· Assist with employer links to secure employers’ input into developing qualifications and/or giving recognition to the qualifications

· Represent the department as a business user on projects

· Review and agree exemptions from other Awarding Organisations against company’s products

· Uphold and model high standards of performance and contribute to the development of a high performing team

· Improve and maintain processes within both the Product Development department in line with Quality, Training and Development

· Develop relationships with others whose work is impacted by/requires a service from the role

· You will be required to act as departmental lead on any number of the above, as directed by the Director of Quality, Training and Development.

Skills knowledge and experience:

· Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office / Office365 skills

· Excellent written and oral English communication

· Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills

· Problem solving

· Ability to interpret, compile and confidently present statistical information

· Ability to manage multiple tasks through project management, scheduling and time management

· Able to deal effectively with change

· Decisive and able to take responsibility for agreed outcomes

Qualifications:

Must Have:

· Degree level qualification or equivalent experience

· An understanding of the subjects covered by the qualifications

· Experience of working within a regulatory environment

Good to Have:

· Teaching/training or assessing qualifications and/or experience

· Sound understanding of assessment theory and different methods of assessment

· At least 3 years’ experience in the development of qualifications and assessments

· Service Industries/Customer support/Hospitality/Travel and Tourism/Vocational subjects teaching experience
