ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality food products in compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards. This role involves managing production schedules, supervising staff, and improving processes to optimize productivity and reduce costs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Management

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily production activities to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, HALAL).
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.

Team Supervision

  • Supervise production teams and support team leaders in managing workflows and resolving issues.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure staff compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to local and international food manufacturing regulations, such as FSSC 22000 and MESTI.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.

Operational Efficiency

  • Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement in processes and productivity.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, including raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, to prevent production delays.
  • Ensure the maintenance of production equipment and infrastructure.

Safety & Health

  • Enforce workplace safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents.
  • Conduct regular safety training and drills in compliance with Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare regular production and operational reports for the Plant Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Procurement, Quality Control, and Logistics, to maintain smooth operations.
  • Performanyother duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company or management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in food manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing regulations in Malaysia (e.g., HALAL, HACCP).
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • HALAL Executive Certification
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Job Type: Full-time
